French château weddings are all the rage with couples, but I’m here to report that Swiss château weddings are what dreams are made of! Set against the backdrop of Lac Leman, photographer Philibert Barelli captures the magic of Château de Chillon in this dreamy bridal inspiration shoot. The historic château, the romantic grounds, her breathtaking Ivy & Oak gown, the timeless hues of the florals… This wedding inspo is nothing short of a fairytale from start to finish! I don’t know about you, but Château de Chillon could easily become one of my all-time favorite venues. I mean… after seeing this editorial, how can you blame me!

Built on a rocky island on Lac Leman, Château de Chillon is a historic castle near Montreux, Switzerland. With views of the lake and Swiss mountains and grounds dating back to the 12th century, the château is apparently the most visited historical monument in Switzerland. When photographer Philibert Barelli sent in this heartfelt editorial shoot, I was floored by the stunning photos of the château venue and the beautiful bride!
Philibert is a new Helvetia Weddings favorite after his romantic shots of Geneva caught my eye. I am so happy to share his work with you today! This stunning wedding inspiration is the perfect balance of historical romance and understated elegance. With Swiss Riviera weddings looking this good, I hope more international couples will consider it for their weddings!
