Love a neutral and natural wedding palette? Me too! So what is better than a stunning backdrop of the sand dunes in the Aquitaine region of France? The beautiful scenery and wind added so much romance to this engagement session by photographer Véronique Chesnel. Blowing hair and a flowing soft dress dancing in the breeze made this shoot just perfect!
We don’t feature a lot of French venues around here, but how could I NOT share this epic location? The shoot takes place at Bassin d’Arcachon, in the southwest of France, close to the tallest sand dune of Europe, Grande Dune du Pilat.
Planned by Amélie Pichon and captured by Véronique Chesnel for Véronique’s Fine Art Portfolio Workshop, this engagement shoot is utterly stunning. The gown is handmade by Marion Fera and was created especially for this engagement session. The dress conveys an ethereal elegance against the natural elements of the sand dunes.
The wind and the sand are all that’s needed as inspiration for this shoot. As quickly as the couple’s footsteps mold the sand on these dunes, the wind comes along and covers up each trace. I love the beauty in the movement of the sun as well as how the wind blows the fabric and her hair… There’s an overwhelming sense of adventure, don’t you think? It’s all proof that sometimes even the most simple details are the most beautiful.
